For the New York City School Construction Authority (SCA)’s Advanced Mentor Training Program, r6catalyst provided comprehensive mentoring and instruction to M/W/D/LBE mentor contractors on Leadership Development, Business, Organizational Development, and Management Skills.
The r6catalyst team led various aspects of this Program including program development, team development and coordination, program manual creation, schedule, contract negotiaton, budgeting, sub-consultant selection and agreements, event coordination, curriculum development, value engineering, quality assurance, and training.
From strategic planning to communication and customer service, the contractors were instructed on a wide variety of topics on business, management and leadership skills. The main goal of this training is to assist the contractors with business growth and development. In addition, r6catalyst trained participants on creating alliances and partnerships
in order to achieve marketing and sales objectives, and build strong client relations for sustained business growth. r6catalyst also covered topics on latest industry trends in technology, LEED and Green Design. Some of the areas of instruction included:

r6catalyst combined traditional classroom training with interactive instructional methods including case studies, brainstorming, group discussions, oral presentations, team/small group assignments, and one-on-one coaching and mentoring. The r6catalyst team of SMEs received an overwhelming commendation and response from the contractors.
