WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE

The Bridge to Success” Supportive Services Program (SSP) is open to all qualified, capable, and motivated certified DBE firms.

NJDOT is seeking to expand subcontracting opportunities in various types of projects such as: infrastructure modernization, repair and maintenance of roads, bridges, decks and ramps, tunnels, water and sewer, highways, roadways and pavements, etc.

You are eligible to participate in this Program if you are:

  • A certified DBE (Firms must have active DBE* certification) in the New Jersey Unified Certification Program (NJUCP**)
  • Sub-Contractor and/or vendor (manufacturer/supplier)
  • Qualified in any of these NAICS codes/categories including 237110, 237310, 237990, 238110, 238120, 238210, 238320, 238910, 238990, 324121, 327331, 327310, 332312, 331110, 423610, 484220, 488490, 561730, etc. (subject to change, per NJDOT requirements)

 

* Disadvantaged business enterprise or DBE (per regulation 49 CFR part 26.5) means a for-profit small business concern

  • That is at least 51 percent owned by one or more individuals who are both socially and economically disadvantaged (Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Pacific Americans, Subcontinent Asians Americans and Women), or, in the case of a corporation, in which 51 percent of the stock is owned by one or more such individuals; and
  • Whose management and daily business operations are controlled by one or more of the socially and economically disadvantaged individuals who own it.
