NJDOT’s Supportive Services Program (SSP) is aimed to assist certified DBE contractors gain access and tools to the growing construction infrastructure industry.  For a period of one-year, selected participants will receive free, in-depth business and technical training in vital business areas; one-on-one technical assistance; and tools to create their strategic business plans.

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is committed to increasing diversity and participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) on NJDOT projects.  The Supportive Services Program (SSP) – “the Bridge to Success” is NJDOT’s innovative new executive development program for DBEs in the highway construction industry.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Since its inception in 2016, the program has helped over 30 DBE certified firms with various aspects of their business growth and development. Several of them were successful in attaining work on NJDOT and other agency projects. We applaud the success and commitment of all the participating and graduated firms:

The Program provides participant firms with several opportunities to learn, find contracting opportunities and compete on NJDOT and other highway and heavy projects. Our goal is to help you grow and succeed in your business.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The “Bridge to Success” Supportive Services Program (SSP) is aimed to assist certified DBE contractors gain access, tools and training and secure projects in the growing construction infrastructure industry.  The program is developed and managed by r6catalyst, under direction from NJDOT’s Division of Civil Rights and Affirmative Action Disadvantaged and Small Business Program Unit.

Selected participants receive free, in-depth business and technical training in vital business areas; one-on-one technical assistance; and tools to create their strategic business plans. The networking forums conducted during the program offers excellent opportunities to directly network with NJDOT and select Prime contractors.

The SSP is open to certified and qualified New Jersey-based DBE contractors who are seeking to bid and work on NJDOT projects. The registration/application period for the third year of the Program is now open.  Up to twenty DBE contractors will be enrolled in the program.
